Usually, an abandoned quarry is a sad sight. But, if you were to imagine such a quarry to be opened to sculptors, and those sculptors be given freedom to express their creativity in the stone that surrounds them, there would be no room for sadness. And that is precisely what is taking place in the Montraker stone quarry in Vrsar during the School of Sculpting. The quarry comes to life, and out of its unused stone sculptures are born. Come and see for yourself the magic of the moment at this year’s School which is to be led by the renown sculptor Peruško Bogdanić.
